Kuroset capped off a great weekend for Motree Thoroughbreds when resuming with another tough win first up at Elwick on Sunday.

It was the second time that the Blue and White silks of Motree hit the line first, with Yarra Master also enjoying the wet conditions to bring up his second win of the preparation in the maiden/class 1 mile earlier on the program.

Perhaps the most exciting result of the weekend however was across the water at Sandown a day earlier.

Our Heidi (Needs Further x Scout Finch) flashed home for 2nd on debut in what is likely to prove a hot form race.

Purchased by Phillip Stokes Racing from the 2020 Motree Thoroughbreds draft at the Tasmanian Magic Millions sale  for just 17k the filly appears to have great upside and is certainly one to watch not only through the winter but into the spring.

The action continues on the mainland this weekend with Mandela Effect set to resume at Flemington over 1400m in a heat of the Victorian Winter Health Championship.

Already a winner at headquarters, the now rising 7yo has by all reports returned in great order and should take plenty of holding out should the rain stay away.
